Assistant Editor
An Assistant Editor sets the foundation in the post-production process.
Most of my responsibilities included ingesting and transcoding footage, setting up projects and organising the media for producers and editors on variety of editing software including Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. I’ve also co-ordinated the recording and editing voice overs and exporting audio deliveries for sound mixers with AAFs. Other tasks include creating music cue sheets, screen grabs of television episodes for publicity, exporting files for producer and clients for reviewing or final delivery to networks, Quality Control and playout television shows and films and much more.
Below is a small sample on the many television shows and feature film that I have worked on. Most of these productions had multiple assistant editors, with exception of The Chase Australia and Sleeping Beauties.
